About The Lady BuG
Some things are easier to recognise than explain.
The Lady BuG began as a place for the thoughts that often stay underneath the surface — the things we carry quietly, the roles we fall into without noticing, and the feelings we sometimes understand only after someone puts them into words.
I write about ordinary life.
About being the dependable one. About relationships, boundaries, rest, family, expectations, identity, and the small moments that make us stop and see ourselves differently.
These aren't stories written from a place of having everything figured out.
They're reflections. Things I've noticed. Things I've lived, questioned, changed my mind about, or am still learning.
And perhaps somewhere inside them, you'll recognise something of your own life too.
Stories, not instructions.
The Lady BuG isn't here to tell you how you should live. There are enough voices doing that already.
I would rather tell an honest story and leave enough room for you to decide what it means to you.
Some stories may feel familiar. Some may not. Some may make you think about something you haven't thought about in years.
You can take what belongs to you and leave the rest.
One theme at a time.
The stories here are organised into collections. Each series explores one part of life through a group of connected stories.
The first collection is:
The Strong One
A series about what happens when being capable, dependable, and needed becomes part of who you are — and what changes when you begin making room for yourself again.
Other collections will follow, with different themes and different questions.
Why The Lady BuG?
A ladybug is small. Easy to miss. But somehow, when one appears, you notice.
That's what I hope these stories can be too.
Small moments. Quiet words. Something you almost passed by that makes you stop for a second and think:
I know that feeling.
Welcome to The Lady BuG. Stay for whichever story finds you.
